House of Urvé
A storefront for handwoven sarees, organised by the region each weave comes from and told through the people who make it.

01Region
Begin with a place.
A saree is named for where it is woven, so the store opens with a map rather than a menu. Choose a state and you are shown the weaves that come from it.
Regions are managed in the CMS, so the map fills in as the catalogue grows.

02Collection
Let the collection speak first.
Every collection opens on its own full-width story: image, title and opening lines, all set per collection in the CMS.
The longer story folds away behind one link, so the pieces stay within reach. Open it and the page makes room for the full text. Close it and you are back among the weaves.
Beneath the story, the catalogue filters by type, region, weave, colour and price.

03Piece
Every piece carries where it came from.
Weave, material, colour, town and region are fields on each product, not lines buried in a description. The product page sets them out as a provenance card, and the same fields drive the catalogue filters.

04Hands
The people behind the cloth.
Artisan and journal pages give the weavers and their craft a place in the store itself, with photographs from the loom and essays on how each border is made.

05Search
Found, with or without the accent.
Every page carries its own title, description and share image, and product and collection descriptions are written to be found. Shoppers who type the name without the accent still reach the store.
